The children tell me that you have scheduled the week starting 24th June for them to come and stay with me or the July holiday contact. Unfortunately the orders specify “New South Wales School Holidays” i.e. State school holiday, so the week they should be with me starts on 1st July, which is the week after.

Normally, I would be quite happy to be flexible, but due to it being the end of financial year in the earlier week, I need to be available to work that week.

Therefore, I will collect the children on 24th June for my normal contact weekend with them and on July 1 for my holiday week with them as per the order.

I know you may have already made plans so if it is easier for you, I can swap the holiday week from the first to the second week of the New South Wales School Holidays without disturbing our plans too much. Please get back to me as soon as you can if you would like to do this, as I will need to re-organise with my clients.

I bet she comes back and says that she has not mis-understood the orders and that if we cannot take them the week she has specified, we can’t have them at all.

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. but I know she is incapable of acting like a rational person.
