Step Lair

A little background.. we have noticed some things have gone missing around our apartment when the kids are here.  For me.. most notably my birth certificate and my passport two weeks before I was supposed to go overseas, and a collectors edition pocket knife that is impossible to replace.  We have also found some of my jewellery in SD’s overnight bag when she first started to come here.

Anyway, last week I went and bought a safe, and put everything valuable in it.  I just don’t want this important stuff to go missing any more.

If I have the opportunity, I always surreptitiously go through the kids luggage when they are here.  I went through their stuff today and I found a windchime that SS13 had made at school in his bag.  It was made out of wood and had “wicked” burnt into one side of it and “Dad” burnt into the other side of it. 

It’s a nice idea, was obviously meant to be a Christmas present, but we were never given it?  

Weird.
