I posed the question..
of BB’s breaking in to my support group yesterday. It seems that discovering that BB has been in your house or discovering BB IN your house is not that uncommon!!
Over at bonusfamilies.com there is an article about a SM and DH who came home to find the BB in the closet, frantically calling the adult stepdaughter (who had let her into the house and then left) asking her what to do.
It appears that my fear of BB gaining entry to our house is not unfounded and is a fear that alot of stepmothers have.
The main motivation, according to bonusfamilies.com - is to rifle through papers to find out financial information.  Although oftem things are stolen as well.. the citied a story of a lady who came home to find all of her commissioned artwork gone! Later it was seen gracing BB’s walls!
Of course the easiest way of BB gaining entry is at drop-offs and pick-ups when for some reason the SM or DH aren’t there. The other times are when the kid is left alone and calls the BB who then decides she has to “drop something in” and can’t resist the urge to come inside.
