Step Lair

Which is something I told myself I would NEVER do.

DH is only allowed to call skids between 5:15 and 6:15pm every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. If he misses these times for ANY reason (including skid not having phone turned on etc.) BB’s response is TOUGH

DH missed a call the last holiday (because skids didnt answer) and called the next day. BB went off on him over email saying that she had talked to the kids about it and that they did not want him calling “outside of hours”.

So what does BB do when the skids are with us this holiday and the situation is reversed? Misses the Monday, Tuesday and Thursday calls and calls skid during the day Friday!

Skid told me and I said: Your Mum would have a cow if your Dad did that.

Skid: I don’t think so..

Me: She already did. She told us that you didn’t ever want him to call “out of hours”. Is that true?

Skid: I don’t mind him calling at all, unless I’m in the middle of something and can’t talk.

Me: That’s fair enough. Don’t worry about it, it’s not your fault. Sometimes I think your Mum misunderstands what you say to her.

Skid: Yeah, maybe.

Now I feel like this big.
